Freedom Festival – John Brown Memorial Park
Special tours of John Brown Museum State Historic Site with Mary Buster, great-great-granddaughter of Florella Adair, half-sister of John Brown. Civil War reenactors camp. Frontier artisan demonstrations.Historic displays.
On Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Mary Buster will portray Florella Adair. At 1:00 p.m. will be a vintage baseball game. At 2:30 p.m. is a Civil War scenario reenactment. At 4:00 p.m. is a reenactment of the Battle of Osawatomie. At 8:00 p.m. will be Civil War artillery night firing. On Sunday at 1:00 p.m. will be a reenactment of a battle between Union and Confederate troops. At 4:00 p.m. will be a Wild West gunfight reenactment by the Kansas River Gang.
